The China International Bicycle & Motor Fair in Shanghai has been part of our calendar since 2019. Seven years later, returning to the floor of this show is both familiar and, each year, entirely different.
In May 2026, OSKAR-BEBEHUT exhibited at China Cycle with our most complete lineup to date — and the conversations on the floor reflected a market that has moved faster in the last two years than in the previous decade.
The Market in 2026
The global bike trailer category is in a period of meaningful evolution.
On the consumer side, awareness of bike trailers as everyday family infrastructure — not just a recreational accessory — is increasing across all our core markets. Parents in the US, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and Japan are buying trailers not just for weekend rides, but for school runs, grocery trips, and daily commuting as urban cycling infrastructure improves.
On the B2B side, brands that previously treated trailers as a peripheral SKU are now investing in the category — developing differentiated product lines, seeking manufacturing partners with engineering depth, and demanding certification documentation that keeps pace with tightening regulatory environments in Europe and North America.
Both trends play directly to what OSKAR-BEBEHUT has been building for over two decades.
What We Brought to Shanghai 2026
This year's exhibit was our most comprehensive to date. We showcased:
Children's trailers — full range, aluminum and steel, single and double seat, across our three color families: Rally Red, Vibrant Orange, and Ocean Blue
Cargo configurations — updated with expanded load capacity and new hitch interface options
Pet trailers — with improved ventilation panel design based on Japanese market feedback
E-bike platforms — representing our expanding capability in electric-assist categories
We also debuted our updated OEM/ODM partnership showcase — a physical display walk-through of our six-step manufacturing process from brief to delivery, with sample materials, test documentation, and production timeline data.
The Conversations That Defined the Show
Three types of visitors defined our Shanghai 2026 experience.
Established partners came to see the new lineup and discuss expanded volume or new category exploration. These conversations are efficient, trust-based, and often result in direct follow-up orders.
New brand inquiries — particularly from European distributors and US specialty retailers — came with detailed questions about our certification readiness for EN 15918 updates and ASTM compliance. This regulatory sophistication in buyer conversations is new, and it's accelerating.
Japanese contacts, newly warm from our Tokyo office launch, arrived at the booth already familiar with our team. Three of our Tokyo-initiated relationships converted into formal partnership discussions at Shanghai 2026. That is the compounding effect of building real market presence.
Seven Years of China Cycle
Looking back across our exhibition history — from a first-time exhibitor in 2019 to a recognized, established name on the China Cycle floor in 2026 — the progress is visible in ways that go beyond product line expansion.
The conversations are different. The credibility is different. The speed at which new relationships develop trust is different.
That is what consistent presence builds. And it's why, year after year, we show up.
